Aug. 3, 2015…….Christine is an award winning visionary,  dynamo, force of nature singer/songwriter performance artist who has championed more artists over the years than can be counted!  When she puts together a radio show, it is an event: diverse musically, informative, …interesting…intriguing….if you get the chance to listen….you should…it is what The Arts are all about!!…  Here is the official press release.

On Sunday August 9 from 8-11 AM Christine Lavin guest-hosts “City Folk Sunday Breakfast” for a vacationing John Platt, where she is planning to devote the first hour of the show to the late Sid Bernstein, the man who brought The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Herman’s Hermits, The Moody Blues, and many other British groups to America.  Sid died two years ago, August 12th was his birthday (he would have been 97 if still with us).

Christine also plans to play new unreleased music by Claudia Schmidt and Don White, brand new work from David Goldman, Connor Garvey, and Sally Fingerett — who will also read an excerpt from her brand new book, MENTAL YENTL.
Plus lots more surprises.
The show will be live on terrestrial radio, 90.7 FM in NYC, and wfuv.org streamed live from 8-11 AM Eastern, then archived for two weeks starting Monday the 10th of August at wfuv.org.
WFUV is the radio station of Fordham University, New York’s only Jesuit University.
